Make your own way to Dublin and join Pillow for our tour to St Patrick’s Day 2011! The Irish national day is celebrated around the world each year on 17th March, but there is only one real place to experience the party, and that’s in the capital of Ireland, Dublin! The centre of Dublin turns into a sea of green as everybody hits the streets at 12 noon to watch the traditional St Patrick’s Day parade, including marching bands and floats. During the evening everybody heads to the centre to celebrate, and local Irish pubs are overflowing with people listening and singing along to Irish bands and having a good “CRAIC”, while of course enjoying a Guinness or two!

During our time in Dublin we will have drinks every night in different Irish pubs, bars or clubs, and visit the Guinness Storehouse. The Guinness Storehouse is Dublin’s number one tourist attraction, and you can learn about the history of this famous drink and see how it’s brewed, and then have a free pint of the black stuff at their Gravity Bar which has 360 degree views over Dublin. On the first night of the tour we have our free “Guinness & Pizza Party” at Jacobs Hostel to break the ice and help everybody get to know each other!

During our tour we stay in the modern and very popular Jacobs Inn hostel where all our dorm rooms are on suite and have flat screen TVs. The hostel is located in the centre of Dublin and also has loads of common rooms and a kitchen so you can make your own lunch and dinners to keep costs lower if you prefer!

Pillow is famous for its smaller group size, and our clients keep coming back because they feel like an individual rather than just another number in a very large group. As a result Pillow will limit our 2012 St Patricks day tour to 50 people, which is the most popular group size with our clients. It also means we can book pubs and clubs easier to make sure we get into the best venues. However it also means you need to book ASAP to avoid disappointment!
