Royal Ascot is considered the highlight of the British racing calendar, and one of the main society events of the English summer alongside Wimbledon and the Henley Regatta. Founded by Queen Ann in 1711 the 4 day Royal Ascot Race meeting attracts over 200,000 people each year.
Ladies Day is always held on the Thursday and allows ladies to don their best dresses and wear their biggest hats. Don’t think men are excluded from the dressing up as top hat and tails are commonplace. The whole experience is enhanced by the Royal Parade and of course some of the best horse racing available in Europe.
Join Pillow Tours as we travel to Ascot by executive coach, have cold bubbly (Sparkling wine) on arrival at Ascot racecourse coach park. We then enjoy a buffet lunch (different sandwich types, 3 different cold salads and a wide selection of other picnic food) with your choice of good quality unlimited red or white wine, and strawberries & cream for desert. After our lunch we enter the Silver Ring enclosure which has a great position to watch the Royal Procession and the six horse races. The Silver Ring also has 2000 seats, big screen TVs, live music entertainment each day and a lawned area with a variety of places to eat, drink and place a bet. Although there is no formal dress code in this enclosure, you are encouraged to wear smart clothing and this is a great opportunity to wear your very best outfits. You can also choose to upgrade to Grandstand seats if you prefer?
Once the races finish at 5.30pm, we will get back on our coaches and head back to London where the party will continue at the Walkabout on Embankment.
