1 Day Coach Tour - £40
The International Bognor Birdman competition has to be seen to be believed. For two days contestants hurl themselves off Bognor pier to try and win the £30,000 prize for the furthest human powered flight over 100 meters. Some competitors spend months perfecting their "flying machines" and take the competition very seriously. Others jump off Bognor pier wearing cardboard aeroplane’s or dressed as superman!
Over 25,000 people watch the Birdman every year, and Pillow tours will visit this crazy event on the final Sunday, and spend the day by the sea watching this madness and enjoying Bognor’s sunshine, bars and pubs! On route we will stop at the beautiful country town of Arundel to enjoy its stunning castle, cathedral and traditional high street packed with restaurants, pubs, cafes and antique shops.

Day 1: Sunday 6 July
Meet at Embankment tube station at 8.45 am on Sunday 6 July for 9.00am sharp departure for the two and a half hour drive to Arundel. After an approx 1 hour stop in Arundel we drive to Bognor to watch the Bognor Birdman and enjoy the sea, beech and pubs. Meet back at 6pm for drive back to London. Estimated arrival time back in London will be 8.30pm where the party will continue.
